We have some resources and supports available and we will try our best to help those in need within our Cascade Community. 12/18/2020 week of Dec. 21 - Jan. 1, 2021
Principal's Holiday Message
While it is traditional for me to send a message like this out on the final day of the year before break, it still feels a little odd to be doing so without the joyful chaos of the last day as we run around trying to keep kids in class and help them manage their sugar-highs and lows throughout the day. It also feels unusual as I don’t know that I’ve looked this forward to closing the books on a calendar year with such hope for the coming year. We have so many things to be hopeful about in 2021 that my sincere wish is that you will join me in the hope of all of the good things to come. I wish for all of you a restful and rejuvenating winter break. I wish for you the chance to spend quality time with your family in whatever form that takes this year. I wish for our students to get lots of time away from screens, enjoying fresh air and getting to be kids just having fun! I know our family has adjusted and found ways to connect despite our current challenges as I'm sure yours has. I am looking forward to attending my youngest sister’s wedding tomorrow via Zoom; not quite the out of state flight and ensuing festivities we talked about a year ago, but I am grateful there is a way to be part of witnessing her marriage to her best friend. I will look forward to attending the reception once it is scheduled and getting to celebrate in person with our extended family. I am looking forward to celebrating our last Christmas as a family of three as we await the arrival of our little boy this Spring. And, I am looking forward to the positive changes that I am hopeful we will see in the new year. Here's to a great winter break and a hopeful new year! Warmly, Meg McGroarty, Principal What's going on at Cascade? Parents, please join us for a Parenting Wisely Community Class starting on January 12, 2021.
